Burlesketch started in 2005 not far from Angel in London UK and due to its huge succes went straight to London West end on a Weekly basis in a few major Bars where space could allow. Originally when Burlesque Drawing was very badly received sometimes in London, I pushed it as an extreme opposite form to what Life Drawing is and obviously knew about the benefits of such extremes for all Artists and amateurs, like Abstract Art or Gesture drawing can oppose themselves but come together. Thanks to DR Sketchy from NYC, the reactions and respect for Burlesque, changed very quickly and all became then a truly happy, creative buzzing, exciting experience. It went on for about 10 years and became accepted and adopted by the establishment/Art Schools. from about 2010 many independent classes where then happening across the city with success from a few of our regulars. Our Venue in Dean Street the LVPO Bar was sold and refurbished so we took a break until now.

Burlesketch will be Fun, Classy, Giggly, weekly, Stylish because of the Fashion Drawing aspect, Sparking and sometime hilarious but won't be a tutored class but might try to help the beginners somehow, as always.

This is the Perfect event to invite friends to on a Tuesday night for now. One day we may try a Monthly Saturday event for a change, we'll see...
